Hi
I'm the owner of this Ron Spencer alternation:
What do you guys think the value is of such alternation?
I'm thinking on selling it. Maybe an auction is the best way?
Best regards
Skirk

Re: Ron Spencer Yawgmoth's Will alternation value
It's difficult to value custom made unique items. certainly don't sell it for less than an unaltered copy of the card. Auction is probably the best way to go.
Some people don't like alters, just like some people don't like signatures, so the difficult part will be getting the card in front of the most appropriate group of interested bidders.

Re: Ron Spencer Yawgmoth's Will alternation value
I highly doubt you ever dealt with Ron Spencer altered cards. There is quite the number of similar cards around and much like his sister he has always charged a shitload of money to properly alter cards.cataclysm80 wrote:It's difficult to value custom made unique items. certainly don't sell it for less than an unaltered copy of the card.
Sadly for you Yawgmoths Will lost quite some popularity. I could see the card selling for $300, $500 or even more a few years back but now you are likely looking at less. You can expect something around $200 or maybe a bit more on ebay now.skirk1983 wrote: What do you guys think the value is of such alternation?

Here is the last similar Yawgmoths Will that sold on ebay:

picture doesn't load on ebay in my browser but here it is:

I would never auction the card off without reserve or a high starting bid (which is what you did) as you might brick and just get $100 or $150. Just continue putting it up at $300 and also offer it on MCM and you will eventually find a buyer IMO.
