Richard Garfield Signed Shahrazad price?

Post by person147 » Sun Feb 08, 2015 12:48 pm

Hi,

Not posted on here in AGES since selling my two Summer Magic Dark Rituals, but I am needing more money for my house renovation work so thought it would be worth looking into selling some more of my collection.

I have a Shahrazad signed by Richard Garfield that I traded a Beta Plateau to acquire at the London Alliances pre-release tournament many moons ago. I have not had it authenticated (rather difficult to do here in the UK) and sadly it is in ball-point pen not felt-tip pen. That aside, assuming it is genuine (certainly looks like it from comparisons I have made online), does anyone have any idea what it might be worth? The card itself has been in a sleeve since I've had it and is in what I would describe to be near mint condition. In a Duellist interview Garfield said it was his favourite card, so I am hoping this might help with desirability.

Many thanks for anyone's input!

Richard

Looks like a bad deal today. I guess its much more cheaper now to get a
Shahrazad and let it sign than get a Beta Plateau.

"Many Moons" ago Shahrazad was worth much more....

neither ballpoint pen signatures nor garfields signature are particularly thought after.
getting as much as you would get for an unsigned one (~50E) would be decent.

Hi guys,

Thanks very much for your replies.

Yes, nowadays it seems like a very bad deal and wish I hadn't done it now. Still, what is done is done. I am kicking myself more for ever letting go of my 4 complete sets of revised dual lands slowly over time.
