we had them in france in the early 90s : a pog is a circular piece of cardboard with printing on it (the star character was a sort of redhaired monster).

To play you make a pile with one of your pog and one of your opponent(s) (each player can put more than one too), and the aim is to flip them with throwing a circular plastic piece on the pile (we called it a kini here). You can keep the pogs you flipped this way :)
Yup, that's what we had in England. Pogs seemed to be a brand name for milkcaps, which were never a thing in England anyway.

I lost most of them to my friend's daughter, she cheated a lot.

That seller should grade that Summer TI. It looks pretty good in pics but they are hand held which skews perception of condition.

If it came back BGS 9.5 then that value is imo low as I value it in high teens now based on the summer US sales (at least for my own copy). The 16k asking price falls somewhere in between what a BGS 9 and 9.5 should fetch. Maybe that is why the seller listed this raw version at that price.

Also grading would prove authenticity which would be as a buyer, my biggest concern when buying such a valuable piece off someone who was not a well known collector.

So this Summer Trop ended at $8155 USD, for future reference. I personally think it's really low and this proves once again that eBay is not the best place to sell Summer cards, especially not before or right after Christmas...

Wow...

If it was a real Summer (raw form does affect market for buyers for these things)
&
If it was equivalent of a BGS 9

Then the buyer just scored HUGE! Congratz to whomever that was and I hope someone from these boards.

If you are here and get it graded, boast and tell us how well you made out!

I agree he should probably grade it.

He is well known on Facebook.

Considering what he paid for his 3 Trop's, and what he sold them for, I think he did alright for himself.
