Print variant from Kai Budde '99 World Champ deck

Post by berkumps » Wed Jul 11, 2012 4:54 am

I noticed in my '99 Kai Budde Tokyo World Champ deck I opened recently, that one of blank cards has a print variation relative to the other 11. The one on the left in the pic is the variation, and was located 4th blank from the bottom (in the stack of 12 blanks).

Anyone else have one of these decks that can check if there is also one of these variations amongst the 12 blanks?

I'll check tonight when I get home and let you know what I find.

I checked the 1999 Kai Budde deck, and I found the same variation on the 4th blank card from the bottom. I checked all of the other 1998, 1999 and 2000 decks, and none of them have that variation with the bevel.

Very cool! Thanks for checking. I was hoping I had something special, but my expectation was that there would be one per '99 Budde deck.

I have four unopened 1999 Kai Budde decks up for trade/sale if you want to test your luck, but I suspect that you're right.

I think your satisfied that your question is answered but I did look at my deck and it is exactly the same. One odd card.
