Yes it's not NM but, it's a disk! =D>
Congratz! =D> You got that disk at a great price. Even though it was not NM it was still a good deal.

And you are right PSA 7 or PSA 9 it is still a Disk!!

How on earth did the Lightning Bolt end up at 555$? This is almost double what they have gone before (~300ish, graded 400).

I was pretty certain that I could pick this one now, but since I'm on a completely different time zone, and with small kids, I'm one person, who needs to just to bid and hope. Maybe the cheap dollar does raise the pain treshold for us Europeans, but this is still pretty ridiculous.

But I'll keep on looking. That is also part of the fun.

Too many people are becoming aware of Summer cards, and with so many people wanting to pimp their decks nowadays with hard to find cards, there is much more competition at auction.

Really, you think Kidicarus being the seller has NOTHING to do with it?

Sure, increase in knowledge is understandable, so I can see the traffic and attention. But, the end prices would be lower if sold by someone unknown to the rarities community, or the Magic community at large.

I think the fact Kid built up a lot of hype and momentum on both forums and in a sense teased a lot of people into thinking these cards would be sold privately via negotiated prices... then ended up posting them on eBay with a huge audience drooling... must have had something to do with getting those few extra bidders in there to fight over top spot.

I am not criticizing this marketing strategy... frankly I think it was brilliant! And the results are speaking for themselves.

Now however, these prices are being noted and who knows if they will come back from this point. I think the recent days of $50 lands and $65 commons are over. Bad for the completion of my set but good for the many summers I already own. :-\'

I say let the pimps discover Edgar and spread the news to the masses finally!! This set deserves all the attention it can get. I just hope that the pimpers really understand the history of what they are putting in their decks and tell the story properly rather than just buying hot ultra rare cards that cost a lot of $$$.

When people collect just to show off it makes me :-( even if it does increase the value of my collection.

Got the Royal Assassin for eight and change, that's half of what the last one went for on ebay in 2009 so i feel like it's a really good deal. =D>
I have enough cards to stack them all up, and commit suicide off the top!

What was your high bid? I was going to bid $1100 but logged out somehow and couldn't get back in time. I'd feel worse, but I can't really afford it right now.

But yeah nice buy.

I did bid higher than $1100, i'm sorry you didn't win my friend.
I'm sure there are others swearing under their breath right now too but when you have very few for the world to fight over you have to bring the big guns.

I did win three uncommons also, just picking up some of the last of what i need.
My uncommon collection is close, just needs a couple money cards and odds and ends.
The Royal was my 50th rare. Just counted. =D>

As far as average price, i'd say that's a fair average.

Picked the Balance up, have two now, not sure why I bid. Ended pretty decently, though, and I definitely don't feel that it's worse value than the Ass.

The big stuff is coming up, finally time to spend some money :)
