Apologies for the possibly stupid question, but does anyone have any idea approximately how many complete sets of summer Revised there are out there in circulation? Obviously nobody knows for sure, but is there any consensus on what a good guess might be?

I think there might be 3 that are already complete, and others that are close. Likely you can count them on one hand.

Yup, 3-4 known sets, probably a couple more in private. Some close to completion. Actually, what Mark said above.

And I would say around half or more of those complete and near complete sets are owned by members of this forum. I would not be surprised if it was nearly all of them with this being the premium location for us truly hardcore mtg collectors

I think when all of his summer auctions are done, he will only be a few k shy of his initial $49k asking price. The current total is somewhere ~$30k, and with the 3 biggies this week pushing north of $10k (I predict), plus the other 28 auctions, he could get to almost $42k. Of course, if you count ebay fees, his take home will only be like $37k which is only $3k higher than Brian's initial prediction. Bidders, however, don't really care about what fees the seller gets charged.

I think most of the $3k can be accounted for the ridiculous prices on the basic lands.

Indeed, i_set_fire must be laughing all the way to the bank! Although I'm sure if he "flooded" the market with his 99 basics, the prices would drop. So don't do it! I want mine to stay valuable!

The trend seems to be that people go all out in the beginning and then end up losing in the end by a little more then they expected. I hope the Trop hits a record high but I kind of doubt it.

Here's what I'm thinking will happen:

Bayou -- $3200
Trop -- $4200/4400
Hurricane -- $5200/5500
