Hi all, as you may or now know, I collect Uncut Sheets. My goal is to get as many as physically possible. If anyone knows of someone that has uncut sheets of Magic please send them my way!

Usually if there is a big event in my near vicinity I have these sheets with me b/c I have a side goal of getting each and every card on my sheets signed as well as each unique card on each sheet artist modded in some way. Some of you might have seen me walking around at GP New Jersey with a large triangular FEDEX tube. I believe the next really big event will be Worlds 2007.

Wow if that sheet sells at that price, I should sell mine and make 10x what I paid! lol. 500 EURs for that sheet?! I think not. Anyways I will be adding another sheet to my picture collection soon =)

If you got a revised rare sheet for only 50 Euros, that was quite a deal. I've seen the common sheet go for that much, and the uncommon for less than 100, but not the rare.

500 for the rare sheet is certainly excessive, but my guess is that it should price in the 150 - 200 range.

Why should a rare sheet cost less than the price of the single cards? The duals alone are worth ~200$

Have you ever tried to cut a sheet precisely enough so that they look like real, live cards? I once had a fair amount of uncut Arena sheets (the singles were worth quite a bit at the time) and couldn't find a company to do a professional die job on them for a price worth it, and couldn't do it well enough in such quantities myself to risk it.

Uncut sheets have a minimum price of about $60 to $75 (I've seen a few foreign common sheets in that price range, and the minimum price for an Arena sheet has been about $80). This minimum holds pretty firm, regardless of how worthless the cards might be. This is probably because of the novelty factor of an uncut sheet.

When the cards get more expensive, the sheet values climb, although rarely to the sum of the prices of the individual cards. In fact, the sheets often sell at a decent discount, since you can't easily (or cheaply) turn the sheet into individual cards.

To get a professional cutting job you are talking a lot of hours on research (to find a competant finisher) and a cost of as much as $500 for the first sheet and $25 to $50 each for each of the next 10 sheets. Pricing only gets cheap if you are doing 100 or more sheets and can afford to lose 5 to 10 on setup. No one I know has that many sheets they can afford to scrap.

Oh oops...I mistook that sheet as a 4th Edition rare Sheet. But yeah... 500EUR or $755 Canadian is very excessive.

I think (and hope) that no-one would cut a sheet, but for sheets with valuable cards, especially if single cards reach high prices (e.g. AQ), the sheetprice should be higher. You have the 'theoretical' possibility to convert it to regular cards ;-)

Assuming that it is only $500 to get the sheet cut up, wouldn't it be possible to have them "miscut" the sheet? Then you would have a huge pile of "miscut" cards (from whatever the sheet had) and could sell them off slowly for excessive prices? Someone would probably catch on after about the 3 card listed that is cut the exact same way, but who knows? Just thinking outside the box here.
