Regarding identifying coutry of manufacture for T-Chinese and S-Chinese products, you need to locate where there are several characters separated by a colon, as indicated on your picture below

Simplified Chinese
比 利 时 = Belgium
美 国 = USA

Traditional Chinese
比 利 時 = Belgium
美 國 = USA

So for your Simplified Chinese fast track, you'd look for
: 美 国

On a Traditional Chinese 8th Edition 2-player starter picture below, you'd look for
: 美 國

These are rough translations, but the point is, there would be 2 characters after the colon for US, and 3 characters for Belgium.

Thanks Mark, for that educational part, on my way to empty totally a closet, so I can have access to the sealed behind, so expect a bunch of stuff :)

This is a powerful lot of good historic information. The kind of stuff that needs to be preserved in a findable place.

May I suggest that it be incorporated into the "Magic Card Sets" part of the forum. It would be handy to be able to look up a set/item and find all the information about it in one place.

I have some numbers that I gathered for product information but it seems that the section is stagnant so I never sent the information in and stopped collecting it.

Just a thought and I know it would involve a lot of work but a lot of work is already being done and I'd hate to see it get lost in the archives.

Hay! you must have added that after I read the page.... ah, er, maybe I missed it? Forgot I saw it? Come on I'm looking for a good excuse here--help me.

Sorry Alesis;

I do agree with your priorities and it looks like WotC is trying hard to make just the rarities a full time job for a crew..

Clay, that section of the site hasn't been updated in a long time. The most up to date product codes can be found on l0qii's apathyhouse webpage, however I think you need to reg on the site to view the code information.

As for updating the existing sections with the country of manufacture information, it does seem like a good idea, but would obviously take alot of time to change each entry to include this information, and I'm sure Alexis is busy enough with trying to get scans uploaded, new promo sections added, etc. As a result, I've created this section as a sort of placeholder, until something like that can happen.
You're welcome Mark, more to come, but I need to dig inside closets for others, while the ones, I just post, where of easy access. Regarding the Magic Card Sets, Mark has resumed the situation, I will add that my webmaster needs to create a specific program for that section, like he did for the Magic Rarities section, another program will be needed also for the Magazine Galleries. In between, all these compilations are just great, till a time, I will be able to add them in the proper sections of the website, but it's not for now, as Magic Rarities is my priority, and there's still so much to do. The website of Tim is for now, a wonderful place about Magic Card Sets =D>
I'm gonna give YOU some Alesis....Garis :-D

Here's how the "made in" looks in each language. Interesting that they use English on the Japanese boxes

Made in USA (English)
Fabriqué aux Etats-Unis (French)
Stampato Negli USA (Italian)
Fabricado en EE.UU. (Spanish)
Fabricado Nos EUA (Portuguese)
Made in the USA (Japanese)
сделано в США (Russian)
미국 (Korean, older products are printed in English)
미국에서 (Korean, RTR and maybe others)

Made in Belgium (English)
Imprimé en Belgique (French, older product)
Stampato in Belgio (Italian)
Hergestellt in Belgien (German)
Impresso na Bélgica (Portuguese, older product)
сделано в Бельгии (Russian)

сделано в ЕС (Russian, 9th Edition)
