Takara Tomy Life Counters (cards)
I picked up these 7 dividers (as I don't know what else to call them) today:
Anyone know what product they originally came with?

LOL! That is cool.
It looks like they have upgraded our "original" MTG life counters.
In the beginning the d20 had not caught on yet as a life counter so most people used the cards themselves (a method now outlawed by DCI rules). Life total was displayed by card numbers and positions. Horazontal cards were each 5 and vertical cards were 1. You used 8 cards total and it was very quick, easy and obvious to everyone.
Looks like these do the same but have the advantage of numbers on them so that people need to use less of their intuitive reasoning.
We didn't roll to see who went first, you just picked up your deck and showed everyone your bottom card. The highest CMC went first.
No need for a die.
Clay, it looks like there is one "5" and a "1"missing from the set with a couple unrelated cards. In any case if you run across any extras I'd sure like as many different ones as you find.

No problem. I bought all that I found, but I'll keep an eye out for more.mystical_tutor wrote:if you run across any extras I'd sure like a set.

I personally think there are atleast 3 sets, as the first card "Ajani" (copyright 2008) has the Shards of Alara Logo, the other 3 at the top have the Magic back (2007), and the bottom 3 have different cards on the flip side (2006). Can't identify the card game on the flip side.
Everyone else, Gary just called "dibs". sorry.
