Logo on shrinkwrap
Does anybody remember when WotC started putting their logo in the shrinkwrap around booster boxes?

I have a stack of Mirage boosters at home right now and they all have the logo on the shrinkwrap, whereas I don't recall the logo being on the Alliances booster boxes. IIRC there weren't logos on Ice Age boxes, either, so it apparently started with Mirage.
Did any (late) 4th Edition boosters have the logo on their shrinkwrap (4th edition printed in 1996 i.e. Japanese WB, etc)?

Does the bar code match the ones in the ML listings?

If you still have that box, see if the bar code matches the ML listing.
This could get interesting.

I'm pretty sure they began printing them other places right around 1996. I don't think Chinese 4th was printed in Belgium. My English Visions box says Made in the USA. Also I remember being able to tell the different between first and second run Mirage cards because the gloss and corner cut were slightly different.axcel wrote:Weren't all cards printed in Belgium up until recently? Yes, I'm glad that as a forum we have converged on the same interesting details that prompted me to ask the deceptively innocent question in the first place. Let's get to the bottom of this!mystical_tutor wrote: This could get interesting.

Have you noticed if there are different identifying numbers on products that were published at the same time in different places (M-10 ~ M-12 and some older stuff like Mirage? Now days we get the EN on the end of the number but are there any differences in numbers on CM EN cards and US EN cards?l0qii wrote:Yes, I'm glad that as a forum we have converged on the same interesting details that prompted me to ask the deceptively innocent question in the first place.
