Arabian Nights card order in boosters

Post by berkumps » Thu Mar 03, 2011 11:02 pm

I noticed this while watching some arabian nights pack cracks, and found it interesting (as I did not previously know this). The card order within an AN booster is reversed between the (a) and (b) variant prints. Funnily enough, both packs contained a Bazaar of Baghdad.

In Hiro's video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJMPBU4oYDw he opens a booster that contains the (a) variants (ie. small dark circle), and the order of the pack from top to bottom is:

Rukh Egg (a)
Desert
Wyluli Wolf (a)
Kird Ape
Cuombajj Witches
Sandstorm
Sinbad
Bazaar of Baghdad

In this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPmSxLYSe4w the person opens a booster containing the (b) variants (ie. large white circle), and the order of the pack from top to bottom is:

Bazaar of Baghdad
Abu Ja'far
Stone Throwing Devils (b)
Bird Maiden (b)
Hasran Ogress (b)
Flying Men
Oubliette (b)
Dandan

I guess a hardcore sealed collector will need both variant boosters in their collection. Unfortunately you'd need to search the pack at the top card to determine the variant(s) inside, which would then tarnish your sealed collection. Quite the conundrum!

I love how, in the first video, they are surprised about the duplicates in Antiquities boosters.

Man I feel old, knowing all this crap..;-)
