We had a fun draft this week with lots of old booster, and we opened a Apocalypse Booster ( german) that had 2 foils in it ( 1 C 1 UC, Total Number in general and of each raritiy was correct)
Could this happen with a regular pack or was it kind of mispacked ?

Sems to be legit yes;

Manabarbs-Wrath f GOD-Ancestral Recall 'd be in the Ucommon slots because they're "consecutive" cards on the sheet.
Copy Artifact 'd be the "real" rare of the booster.

Always a bridesmaid and never a bride. I've probably opened over 1000 boxes of Magic cards (was a store manager and then a dealer at shows for several years) and never once ran into any collating anomolies.

Same for all the other cool things that were randomly/ purposely inserted into boxes at one point or another:

Zendikar treasures: zilch
Test-print placeholder cards: nada
egregious printing cuts/ errors: nunca

Luck f****** hates me...as a player, I am the guy who never topdecks the land late game when he actually needs it to pull off multiple spells/ effects to win the game...

Day late and a dollar short.
{{{{{{{{{{bitter}}}}}}}}}}} about luck's random disdain for my happiness. :-\

korean Exodus

Post by mmgun » Sun Mar 04, 2012 3:21 pm

I got some korean Exodus boosters and opened one for fun.
I was confused as the packing had this order:

6 Commons
3 Uncommons
1 Rare
5 Commons

Was this regular for those packs ? Or is it some kind of error ?

What was the rare, and uncommons? Anything good?

I've opened a case of Korean Exodus (not recently), and I've never had a pack arranged like this. It's either a sortation/collation error, or the pack was searched and the person put the cards back in wrong. Was the pack from a sealed box? Or just some loose boosters?

It was definitly not searched , as it had a City of Traitors in it :)
+ Forbid,Spellshock,Pegasus Stampede , no mentionable common

Maybe i try another pack soon to see if they all are like this.

It were lose boosters (20), but from a probably closing Fantasy Store which sold all his stuff. So there is a chance they come all from the same box.

I opened some more packs, they are all with the same wierd order.
So either this was regular for korean exodus, or it was just a package error with the whole box.

As I mentioned, I've never seen this order in the 6 total boxes I've opened, however I can totally see how the sort order for an entire box would end up like this, since common runs back then (not sure if they still do) had an A and B run. Usually A and B were placed side by side, but I could see how the two runs could be split by accident in the sortation/packing process.

I think even the uncommon runs had an A and B, being split 1/2 in a pack, as I noticed that from time to time I'd get some uncommons that would repeatedly show up beside each other, but with a different 3rd card.
