Crimped cards

Post by Tha_Gunslinga » Thu Dec 01, 2011 4:11 am

Sorry for the poor photo quality. This is one crimped card from each Magic set ever printed, excluding Championship decks and such things for obvious reasons. I have been collecting crimped cards for around 10 years now and have slightly over 6000, including about a hundred non-Magic crimps. I'm always looking for more, especially Beta crimps, since I have 55% of the Beta set completed.

Awesome stuff, Ben! Is that Library double crimped?

No, that's just the card behind it. I only have 3 double-crimped cards, all random Dark cards, and I have no idea how it happened.

Nice collection! I'm impressed that so many of those crimps are playable!

Holy tits, Crimped Alpha and Crimped P3K. Are those any more rare or common, on average, than the amounts of crimps in other sets?

With all those crimps and so many playables, is this series of crimped cards your most impressive crimp from each set (or most playable or valuable, etc), or just the first one you came across to fill the slot for that set?

They are very rare. I have one P3K crimp and 10-15 Alpha crimps.

I tried to pick a good one for a lot of the sets, but some of them are just the first one I found, or one I thought was cool.

Great collection. It is cool to think that there might not be another crimped card in the world for any of them you have, and collection something with millions of exact copies, and having a single completely original copy is, to me, pretty cool.

I used to own two Beta Jets that were crimped, looks like you have them now. Did you ever get the Recall crimped down the middle? That's the best one I've seen in a long time.

And do you want my extra crimps? I contacted you about trading for Ice Age miscuts a while back. Contact me if you want, I have some good ones.
