Still, they are not saying how limited this will be.

They should have enough of them if they plan to sell "a limited quantity" online after the event. :)

Considering the demand for this product, I doubt so. They never can foresee how much they will sell for a lot of stuff.
When I mentioned about the quantity produced, it's because it will have an influence on the value, and the price.
Let's see how this announcement will influence the selling price on Ebay.

So $65 for the complete set seems like a deal. I am willing to pay for the cost plus shipping plus whatever will compensate your time and effort.
PM me with your thoughts.
Thanks!
After the event a limited number will be put up for sale on the Hasbro Toy Shop website for $59.99 plus tax.
That is maybe our answer ...
Is that

I guess so, but I don't see any mtg product for now.

This is going to be crazy...
and shipping only to the US / Canada
Thanks hasbro !
I don't understand why they keep doing this, they could make a lot of money with it by selling it in larger quantities worldwide....
Instead, they keep frustrating people...

Just because most of the staff has no skill whatsoever in Operational Marketing... I checked the professional background of the lead team, and it is pathetic. They are a bunch of amateurs.

seems like if they're put for sale online it shouldn't be that difficult to get ahold of?

Seems risky for me though if I go there and pick up piles of these for $$ and then "possibly" everyone gets one and I'm sitting on a bunch of stuff I don't want that cost me $60+ per. I'd deserve the possible negative outcome if I was speculating for sure! That's not the case though...

There is as close to 0 a chance that what you describe will happen. People will want these. There are hundreds of thousands of magic players and I can guarantee there are only a small fraction of that number of these. Buy as many as you can and you will not be disappointed.

How comes you talk about "negative outcome"? Even if you get your hands on few sets for 60$ on the SDCC - sell it right away for more. Insta win for you (cash) and for the collectors.
In no case I see something like a "negative outcome"
