Magic-related art book on Kickstarter

Post by psrex » Tue Feb 26, 2013 10:56 pm

I don't think that anyone posted this here yet, but a 20th anniversary book focusing on the original Magic artists is now live on Kickstarter:

The number of backers has risen pretty quickly, so it looks like this will probably happen.

Bought one of the limited edition books. Looks like something I'd like to have even if I stop playing the game. The sketches are a nice bonus too.

I'm thinking of the $160 level. Need me some unique sketched cards!

That's what I'm thinking of as well. I can always use something else to go on the wall in my game room.

Reserved my copy too.
They nearly reached the goal, and it was quick. The book will be a success.
I wish I could have got the completist version.

They made the goal under 22 hours. Awesome.

I pledged a collector's Editon (without sketch).

They will now add Stretch goals as the total keeps on rising. Looking forward to see what they have up their sleeves.

I was in the panel today where they previewed more of thel the new art that was not spoiled already at the con, and god damn there is some insane stuff in there. Some of the new art includes Dwarven Demolition Team, Serra Angel, Ironwood Treefolk, Chaos Orb and more. GET THE BOOK! You will not be let down.

The latest update to this project allows one to add to their pledge the complete 6x9 sketch card set of 400 total. These are not the original sketch cards, but a printed set of all the different sketches done for this project. If you pledged at a tier that got you the original unique sketch cards, you'll still get them, but now you also have the chance to get the full set of 400 sketch cards (which i added to my pledge fo shiz!). Can't wait to see them, and see which originals I get!

I pledged $160 for a Numbered Collector's Edition with sketch cards.
Will go good with my Leather-Bound Collector's Edition Larry Elmore with sketch, and Deluxe Slipcase Edition Brom with sketch.
I love Kickstarter.. :-P
I have enough cards to stack them all up, and commit suicide off the top!
