Rules

I'm a bit speechless. There has been a lot of transforming mechanics in the past, like flip cards, leves and even stuff like Threshhold, so I really can't see a reason for a change this big. I admit that I've not studied the new rules in detail but it must be a huge hassle in many ways when a card have two fronts.

thanks for the info...

Interesting...

Either use no transparent sleeves or this checkup list card (it has a normal magic deck) in draft.

The 13/13 guy is funny :-D

This is the stupidest mechanic I have seen. What a pain in the ass to buy opaque sleeves and then have to take your card out and put it back in all the time. Plus what happens if you forget to switch the card back between games? Do you get a loss?

The only good thing about this mechanic is that I will be able to start a double front no back misprint collection :-D

Very dumb mechanic, especially in a tournament setting. They should have just used the Flip mechanic from Kamigawa.

I really hate it.
It's a new version of the Kamigawa flip.
In stead of flipping the card, we now turn it.... HELLO ! No back MTG CARDS ! Anybody here ?

>:-(

So stupid. With sleeves, this is a huge pain in the ass. No Magic back? Heathens!

I think it's pretty cool too =D>

I played Rage and SW:CCG with flip cards and loved them - nice to see the mechanic again. Of course me and everyone else I know only play casual, so no real problems for us

I'm looking forward to the prerelease to try them out!!!

Take it easy,
Jared

So many haters.

Some things;

It's 2011 you should be using opaque sleeves by now.

I don't see removing the card and flipping it over as that much of a problem. If you really feel it is a pain you can use the proxy card or use extra copies of the card like you would creature tokens.

There shouldn't be an issue if you forget to flip a card back over during a match. It's the same card and it's not like you can play the flip version of the card as it has no casting cost.

This is going to make for some awesome missprints.

As long as the artist is the same on both sides. We signed card collectors have it tough enough already 8-[

The current known cards were all done by the same artists. But I presume we have to be prepare ourselves to send some cards twice because the artists only sign one side

Just be sure to ask the artist to sign BOTH sides in the letter you send with them. I did that with all my Rage cards and never had a problem
