I understand the new set will be New Phyrexia with the Phyrexian expansin symbol.

I wonder just how rare the Pristine Talisman with the Mirrodin expansion symbol will be.

I wonder too... I think this will be an empty slot in my promo collection...

Anyone has a spare one ?

I made a bet with a friend few month back.
I bet that both sets will be release.

Wizards made and create everything they want.
It 's not impossibe that the lunch both set (like eventide / morningtide)

Well ...

By the way, Pristine Talisman is a digital card for now. If Mirran is not release, This card will be never printed. Right ?

they did do the Faction boxes for the Beseiged release, they could package the new set(s) like that, or release 2 extra small sets at one time.

if WOTC does decide to release as 2 sets, I see them doing it in the Faction box style, with 18 being Mirrodin Pure, and 18 being New Phyrexia.

and I honestly think that'd be kinda cool, actually.

Wizard's has stated that New Phyrexia is the only 3rd set in the Scars of Mirrodin block. Talisman will be released in New Phyrexia but with the correct set symbol.

Lorwyn/Morningtide/Shadowmoore/Eventide are a 4 set block that where released on the normal fall/winter/spring schedule with Eventide being the summer set as the core sets where every 2 years not every year as it is now.

I know ... But nothing is fix. We all know that since few years they do everything they want and they can suprise us again and again.
We can also imagine that this last set should be a stand alone like Eldrazi, with two small sets.
This might be wrong... But it can appens, since all can be done.

In general your right Yvel. However the incarnated chaos that WotC once was had been severely moved toward order by the corporate mindset (Hasbro). I don't think they have foam-dart gun battles in the office or go-cart races in the parking lot anymore. Despite the rants on here about things like promo card numbering you have got to admit that the company has moved a LONG way toward the "corporate" mentality of assembly line production.

They have posted the one set idea, I think that will be it.

The buy-a-box promo for this set is Surgical Extraction

This looks like a pretty obvious candidate for a unique S-Chinese art version. Since buy-a-box promos are usually alt-art anyway will this be the first time we have an alt-alt-art card??
