I don't know if anyone has seen this, but there is a promotional plane card for the Planechase release events.

I have them in hand but no access to a scanner.

The card is "Tazeem" Plane-Zendikar. It has the DCI logo in the far right corner of the plane line.

The card # is 41 DCI.

There's one for the Zendikar pre-releases too (in addition to a 'regular' foil promo).

What do y'all think of Planechase? I was geeked to be able to resurrect Cadaverous Knight as a Zombie in print for the first time. I also nudged Guskin to keep Sarcomite Myr in his deck so we could have it in regular frames.

Every time i've seen people playing so far, there has been cheering at some point in the game. :)

Planechase is fun, truly.

It is also very funny. I enjoyed it very much.

It's good that you can play with your own deck too, in any format.

It's sad they did not release them in all languages. My collection would have loved that !

Planechase has been great so far, but I do have one big concern--the format will not survive if the product continues to be so scarce...

Goldmeadow has to be one of the best planes--play a land, get 3 0/1 goats!

Is it scarce where you are ?

We were 20 in my local store, and some guys bought the 4 Planechase boxes, but they had enough.

The item is not limited, and I think it's your local store who did not get enough, thinking it would not work.

It is extremely scarce due to allocations. I got 40 decks which, I am told, is a lot. Those are all gone now and people want more. There is no word on when Planechase will be available again.

The biggest question on everyone's lips was "When are the planes going to be available separately?"

Some people enjoyed the pre-con decks, but most were just interested in the Plane cards. And an $80 investment to get the 40 Plane cards is too much for most.

I understand...

Shops will sell them as singles but the total will be higher than $80... As usual.

my store told me he could only get 11 of each. Wierd that this product is limited.

I think they took no risk.

So now they will reprint. But after a few months, I am not sure that people will be so excited... Unless it is a new product.

We got in 11 total boxes (aka 44 decks). 4 are mine, and I didn't let the rest be sold until the launch party Saturday. We started at 10AM, were sold out at Noon.

Those 11 boxes were 10 direct (the most I could get) and 1 from a distributor.

Looks like they could not foresee the success of the product.

They do this to make money, so I doubt they would make it difficult to get the boxes.

I love it.

I am not fond of large groups of it however, takes way too long. 4 seems to be about the best.

Love the chaos of the format and love seeing some "good old cards" back on the table (dark rit, brainstorm etc).

Someone here has been saying it is type II legal. Is that really true? I find it hard to believe. If so does that then add dark rit, etc. to the standard format?

It seems like WOTC strategy is to initially limit items or give the appearance of "limited and rare" items to drive up an early demand and perpetuate the demand by making people think that something is pretty rare only to find down the road that it wasn't so rare.
