wouldnt be surprised to find this out.
the alternate art judge foils would almost certainly have to have artist proofs, as it is the first time that those artworks have been seen.
now, that said.. were the artist proofs foil?

Hi everybody !
Artist proof has a limited quantities (generaly) of 50 pieces.
It depend of the edition.
The normal cotations of this Judge Cards is very High.
I can't imagine the price of a artist proof for a Judge card and surely it is foil in my opinion.
Most of the time, the Artist proof has a twice the value of the original cards.
Of course to be a real card, this artist proof card must be signed.
The cotations of them may varie mostly mainly... if it is a Rare cards and surely if it is a special artist proof card of a fabulous and limited promotional cards...
Hoop this help you friends ;-)

jikes, have to agree with gunslinga..... .Tha_Gunslinga wrote:Actually they're usually worth the same or less.MAGICSALEMAN wrote: Most of the time, the Artist proof has a twice the value of the original cards.
Incorrect; there are tons of unsigned APs out there.MAGICSALEMAN wrote: Of course to be a real card, this artist proof card must be signed.
That would mean according to magicsalesman that a beta lotus artist proof would be worth...........3000 dollars! =D>
And my beta berserk artist proof would be worth well over the 150 dollars, oh wait, my artist proof berserk isn't signed so it isn't real

Not only that, but artist usually get 100 APs as well. The come whitebacked, with only that card face in place. APs can be signed, doodled on, or whatever a person might like. They are sold for prices the market supports and what someone is wiling to pay for on one. I would disagree there is any hard and fast rule for what an AP might fetch. The Lotus example is a good one. I don't think one would fetch $3000, let alone $1500. I have seen artists price their APs all over the place, from below the value of a regular card, to many times the value of a card.

They are often false Artist proof...
So of course there's some that aren't signed but to have his real value this one must be signed... (better in fact).
And the value of course is higher that the normal cards.
50 cards in the world don't have the same value of one card that exist in 10 000 pieces or more...
And yeps you can immagine the value of a Black lotus artist proof signed.
For your knowledge Alpha and beta artist proof cards have square corners :-/
Some editions has a printed quantities of 100 artits proofs pieces and other editions has 50 pieces of them.
Good day everyone ;-)

Value is in the eyes of the beholder!
I know who I'll be selling my artist proofs to. Of course, I'll be happy to take real, complete (magic backed), tournament legal cards in return. I'll supply the artists proofs with or without artist signatures. All I want back are the Mint condition regular issues of the card each AP represents. And as far as Alpha/Beta/Collectors Edition APs are concerned, please send me back Alpha.
I'm sure this will be the beginning of a wonderful trade relationship. Of course we'll only deal with the most expensive regular cards. If APs are becoming worth more than the regular cards, it won't be long before the linited edition art prints become worth even more. I have many that had total printings of 50 or less. Funny how most of them cost me less than $10 each.
