I paid about $1500 for my 3-D Dragon Whelp... as there are only 3 that exist, so far as I know.
I also paid $3500 for my second alpha playtest deck, as with it there are only 3 "official" decks that exist. It was my second deck, so with this large purchase I ensured that I was the only person who could play an actual game with them.
I have a few other hobbies that have cost me more money than these MTG purchases, so I may not feel too bad when I think about it. I own some movie meorabilia, & rock & roll memorabilia that has cost me thousands of dollars as well.

I'm really surprised by the result of this poll
The question is :" What's the most you ever paid for a single card? " right???
So, i'm really interested to know cards bought over 2000$.
For the moment cards like this are only huge Summers, some big Test Print or PSA10 alpha/beta Black Lotus...
So my question is, are they really 5 (or more) people on this forum who bought at least one card for more than $2000 ???

Do you sell it? Is it PSA graded?
Please pm me
I gone into our "books" LOL The cards we paid >2.000 USD (only 3) were all absolutely gem mint and for the A/B/U collection, but to be honest we almost always devide the prices of cards by 2, so in fact I alone never paid morte than $2.000 for a single card.
Those kind of cards are always more expensive since I do NOT buy them on Ebay, only personal pick up to control the card before paying it.
