Fake?

Post by Neuron » Thu Nov 21, 2013 1:22 am

As you can see on the last picture, there is no blue layer:

Or might this be also a production error?

I have the same for a promo card I personally pulled from the sealed pack. Top layer just came off revealing an otherwise completely white card. Production error, IMHO.
I collect land cards, just that.

I can confirm, these cards exist. Its a production error. I personally witnessed a Suffocating Blast like this pulled from an Apocalypse Pack.

You don't see the blue layer because the blue layer IS the glue.

The blue glue is missing is why the front and back are coming apart.

The Suffocating blast i witnessed had the blue layer all over the card, It was just not glued to one side.

Hi together,

thank you for your answers! I didn't know that the blue layers comes from the glue itself, I had seen this error only with blue coats up to then.

So, if the blue is the glue, but there are unglued blue halves (what a tongue twister ), the last ones might have been pressed together too late when the glue had become already dry.

It's often the case with some foil promo cards even coming directly from sealed pack.
They have more a "plastic aspect" (like the Nissa Revane promo as for example) and not really the same "structure" as the regular foil ones.
