Gosh, and the seller stated "all sales are final" so the buyer can't even send it back for a refund......

No "misprint, misprinted, error, test print" or whatever in the title. What an idiot.

Well yes, you expressed quite explicitly what I was thinking....

I've posted so many times about Queensdomain posting Ebay auctions just to lose money (for example putting the end time at 2.30 am European time and 7.30 am Asian...), and several other member agreed.

Obviously that's fine if they want to lose their money, but then couldn't they just transfer $1000 to charity (or transfer it to my account) ?! :-P

If Jim and company want to have their auctions end at weird times on weird days, it's completely fine with me. To be honest, I completely missed this auction as well, or I would have guaranteed that the price hit at least $500 or more, as I'm sure at least a few other members would have done. If they're not using means to maximise their own revenues, then we as bidders really have little to complain about. I would just keep a closer eye on what they post and hope you guys here keep me informed of what I miss. :)

Hi Guys,

Not sure what my employee was thinking when they posted this auction. Luckily, there is quite a bit more left in the vault...

What time would you guys like the future auctions to end? Also, is there any interest in the Worlds Bar of Gold, before this gets melted down? The bar, itself, is 6 troy ounces of 14K gold. If anyone needs a scan please email me at gamingjim@aol.com, I am taking offers currently.

Thanks again,

Gaming Jim

Hi Jim, glad that you took some attention towards this issue.

If I were you I would make the important auctions end at about noon US Eastern time during the weekend.

That would make it end at a time when everybody in the world (from LA to Tokyo) has a chance to be reasonably awake to attempt any possible sniping close to the end of the listing.

More important (and I believe appreciated by most of us) would be some self-promotion of these interesting items in this section when these are put up !

Thanks

Hey Mark,
since you found this one, why you did not bid?
Or did you have the same problem like me: finding it via google and then find out that the auction has already ended? :'-(

WotC had a horribly poorly promoted side event at Worlds, that you could only get into by qualifying at local stores, and the prize was the aformentioned bar of gold. Cool prize, but it needed WAY more hype.
He's just this guy, ya know?

I did not bid as I found the auction through queensdomain' completed items search. I was looking at their present items and thought I would just see what they had sold in the last little while, and BAM, a $50 Jaguar!
