I've had several items sent from people I trust in Europe that have not arrived. Has anyone in the US been running into this problem? Could it be customs related?

Well, I'm having the some problem the other way around!
I've been waiting for some items about 3 weeks now and they're from people I trust and with whom I've made business before!

I constantly send to and from europe without any problems. I did have customs hold a normal padded envelope from Canada for 3 weeks recently. I know because the tracking number on the Canadian Post website showed it leaving the country on one day, but the US Post didn't record it as entering the country until 3 weeks later.

Sounds like homeland security working at katrina response speed for incoming packages.
I have noticed delays on packages incoming from Canada, but I've received recent packages from Europe in less than a week.
