custom done card
how much would a custom done card be - i recently had the chance to eat dinner w/ chris rush and chatted w/ him - i then brought to blank faced cards to let him do what he wants w/ them - he drew a blackest lotus and a talisman for me - does anyone now what the value would be on these at all - he told me that this was the first request for anything like this that he has done - once any thoughts?

I agree with Dry Cereal. If Chris Rush did that as a favor to you, what are you doing trying to sell them?
There is no real value to them - how can there be? Its a one of a kind. Personally, I would say its worth $0, because for me, I would find it a useless card.
On the other hand, if I had him sketch me something that meant something to me, then it has a value only to me - why would anyone else want it (other than just to say they now own it).
So yeah, value to you, unknown, value to others, worthless. And if I were Chris Rush reading this, I would really think about wasting time again doing a favor for someone, if all they were going to do, was try to cash in on it.

That seems to be a very popular name today. Lower case "e," capital "B," right? ;D

Re: custom done card
It literally has no value. A 'one of a kind' item cannot have a value until someone tries to sell it or something similar. Thus if you WANTED to sell it you could just put whatever you want on it and more power to ya.
And what 'blank faced cards' did you have him modify? The only ones I know of off the top of my head are the World Championship cards, and they aren't legal to use (thereby decreasing value).
It seems weird that no one has asked Rush to make custom cards tho. Perhaps he meant using the blank cards..

I think he just means the White filler cards. Normal Magic back, but the face side is completely white blank. And what 'blank faced cards' did you have him modify? I have taken foil cards and pealed them. Then I asked the artist to draw pictures or usually I just use artist proofs since those are so cool.

Re: custom done card
After a while the stickiness wears out but a lot of times I make new cards myself and paste them on these blanks to get a real thickness.
