Complete Rivals Set

Post by WeQu » Sun Jan 02, 2005 4:31 pm

Hi there!

I am wondering how much a complete set of the Rivals Set would go?

I am talking about :
http://www.magiclibrary.net/rarities-in ... y-set.html
&
http://www.magiclibrary.net/rarities-in ... glish.html

Could someone please give me some info about this?

Thanks!

you can get a whole 'set' by buying a single rivals box.  I got mine for about $8 on ebay...

How easy is it to find one in the USA?
Because they only were purchased in Europe I suppose?

I just went to the local card shop last week and they have some for sale.  Of course it's the American version, so the cards are just normal 4th Edition.  No idea on pricing.

If so, why aren't they listed here?

Now in Belgium and Netherlands (= Dutch speaking) they were all English...

Maybe because we do understand English?  :P

Is there a difference between the "Fourth Edition" Rival Cards from America and the one in Europe (making them harder to find) ?

The US version is a yellow box.

The European versions are a white box with a Wizard casting a fireball on the front.

The Japanese versions are completely different (and much nicer looking).

US version is a no brainer, it costs around $6-8 to purchase sealed.

European versions are extremely difficult to find, sealed. Is you can find me a sealed Dutch box, I'll gladly pay around €25 for it.

However, a full set box is unfortunately useless to many collectors and the value remains rather low. Very few people beyond this forum's members can differentiate them. And there are even less people who do care about the difference.

What's the hidden question behind your post? Do you have something ? Do you want something ?
Please help me finish my Boosters collection
