Treachery with double foil layer on top!

Post by Porkinho » Tue Dec 21, 2004 6:19 pm

A friend of mine has a treachery foil, and in the top, before it gets to the picture, it seems to have another layer of foil treatment... that's the way he described it...

I'll try to get a picture... even though if it is how he says, it's and odd one! any idea of how much is it worth, if anything?

thanks,

Luis

Isn't that just a standard foil line?  I know that sometimes the foil on the top side of the line looks brighter, but never thought anything of it..

Most people rate foils with cutlines as worth less than regular foils.

I don't yet know of anyone that collects foils with cutlines.  There's a collecting niche waiting to be exploited!  With enough persistence it can turn into something just like crimps and actually be desirable (maybe -- well, at least to some).

While I too agree that it looks like a standard foil cutline, it is threoretically possible that 2 foil sheets overlapped.....

I've seen a number of people on MOTL listing crimped cards on their haves list, and at least a couple other people that said they were looking for crimped cards.  The phenomenon has certainly grown past just you and tha_gunslinga.
