New sort of "split foil" (DCI Wasteland)

Hi Members.
I did get a Foil Misprint Wasteland,First One  :)
In Fact, it's a Misprint because,The Upper part of the Card,is with another color.You can see clearly that there's a cutline on the Card like they forgot to add the Foil or something. Have a look, but it's more easy to see it in Real than on a Scan. If anybody knows about this kind of Misprint, thanks to let me know, what's the Technical Explanation. Thanks for your help.The Misprint is on the Right in the Clear Sleeve.

Alexis: Sorry, but I cannot make anything out on your scans.
Are you refering to the top being slightly darker at a specific line? This is probably due to being a split foil. I have a couple of these. It looks like the card was made from 2 different foil sheets. Is this what you are refering to?

I know it's more easy to see in real than on the Scans. Yes,the Color changes at a Specific Line,that you can see on the Right Scan.So is it a Split Foil or a Seem Foil?

I have a Huge Foil Collection as you know, but this is the First time ever, I find one of those. Do you have that many Foils, with a cutline on it (Not on the top of the Card) and having the Upper part in another Color? Also, A Magic Rarities with that Misprint ???
PS:As I should seen you again very soon,I will bring it with me to show you :)

My guess based on the image you sent is that this is what I termed a split foil.  Basically your card caught the end of one foil sheet and the start of another.  I have 2 of these, both are promotional.  Arena Ice Age Forest and DCI Stupor.  As a result Ralph did not want my "improved" scans on these due to the split.

I see what you are speaking of now. The question I have is there a foil layer on both parts of the line or split? If so this is a split foil which I have some of. If there is no foil on one part then this is really something I have never seen before.

As I look at the card without the Sleeve right now, from the Bottom to the the Cutline, you have a Foil layer. From that cutline and to the Top of the Card the Foil layer is missing, therefore provoking the card to be Bi-colored

Well it looks like you have a split foil of sorts, except that part of the split has no foil on it.  Maybe you caught the complete end of a foil roll that had no foil following it.  This is definitely something new to my knowledge.

i just looked at my foils, because i knew i also had one of these.

I seem to have a Pre release lightning dragon with the same thing.

bottom just plain foil, the top seems to be missing the foil layer completely.

You see,when I say,that Misprints are falling from the Sky and that you just need to pick them up,easy as that ;) :) :D
Just by going through your cards,you will be amazed at the number of Misprints of all types that you can find. Don't forget to look at the backs also,you can get really Nice ones ;)

Dragsamou, the foil in the picture of mine, the ones with the line/seam are very common where I live. Many many many foils I have seen with this 'defect'.

Perhaps some cards lack more foil on the seam than others... I would not call this a 'big misprint',.... but merely an 'occasional defect'.

So while you have a version of Wasteland no one else has, I do not think that it is worth anymore money (probably less if anything).

That I have One version like that makes me Happy  :)
It's not for sale anyway,as I keep Only One Misprint of a Kind in my Collection,what ever is the value,but if ever I find another one,I will happy to trade it  ;)
