Errors during mirrodin printing, packing.
Just been reading some stuff on mtgnews.
And mirrodin seems to have many errors
there seems to be a lot of crimped cards
i heard about purple ink problems
cards upside down in a booster
a duplciant that was miscut in a way its longer then the others and it has a perforated edge
there were uncommons containing weird scratchings on the back
ill post more if i come across more

Re: Errors during mirrodin printing, packing.
One booster box I opened had 4 packs where most of the cards had a bent lower right corner. Enough where a corner crease appeared when attempting to straighten the card. Needless to say I was a little upset at this. QA obviously was not as good in the past with this set.

I was playing a 16 person (hehe) swiss-style draft of the new Mirrodin set last friday... same results. Not anything too weird, but one of the three packs I opened had EVERY corner (top right) bent... and it was not carelessness by the players part... I saw the box opened, and witnesssed it go right from the box to me. The box was not damaged either... so yeah... the quality control sucks.
At least there are more odds and ends to collect :-)

Re: Errors during mirrodin printing, packing.
On a different note, I just talked to a guy in Brazil.
He has opened a few Mirrodin booster packs, Portuguese language. Each time the second uncommon of the pack was in English!! Weird isn't it ?
This would mean that First, second and third uncos of each pack come from differnt printing sheets ...
Regards,
Eric.

Yes... this allows you to be ever-so lucky, and get 2 of the same uncommon... right?

Is this because standard english sheets were accidentally mixed in with the portuguese, or that some portuguese sheete were accidentally printed in english? Could this possibly lead to variations in english printing? Or are they going to be identical to the normal english ones.He has opened a few Mirrodin booster packs, Portuguese language. I have 4 cards out of my case that have yellow blobs on them. Either the yellow ink dripped or a different color wasn't put on top of the yellow like it was supposed to.

My friends and I was at the darksteel prerelease at toronto. We joined a team sealed and you ge 2 tournament pack, 6 booster. Out of those 6 booster, 4 of them, the rare had a big huge white scratch (or i think it just didn't print it normally) on the bottom. It was kinda gay.

I just opened a Darksteel box that had those distinctive white scratches through the name box in every other pack in the left two columns, for 12 total cards messed up  ??? A most peculiar pattern.
EDIT: only the rares were marked in this way.

I opened a mirrodin pack where there is a wierd thin white line accross the width of every card in the exact same place, gets progressively lighter. I just put the cards back in the pack and put it in my misprint box.
I can't believe I ate the whole thing
