is it true that there are Artist proofs from Portal?
I only thought the advanced and expert levels had artist proofs.

Portal, Portal Second Age, Chronicles, Unglued, all of these have APs.

Why would they make beatdown AP's
Portal i can understand, but beatdown?
That would mean that there are also Anthologies and deckmaster Ap's

I suppose this also means that there are Guru APs, APAC, FNM, JSS, and APs for all the promo cards??

There are definitely Beatdown proofs. In fact, the Raging Goblin proofs were sent to Jeff Miracola by mistake due to the artist credit despite that Pete Venters did the actual art. Oh the things you learn on the wizards.com boards.

No APs for Guru, this is a fact.
APAC, FMN, JSS and other promos, I don't have 100% evidence, but I'm quite sure there is no APs for these cards.

RG - that's a great question. I'm not sure if WOTC customer service would say, and I'm not sure how you would get in touch with the artists - I think they were all Chinese.

Alexis, I think I know as much of you and the question of the Alternate Art cards in S-Chinese remains unsolved, to my mind ...
As the artists are different, they may have recieved specific artist proof cards.
