crimped cards

Post by dry cereal » Mon Aug 11, 2003 8:53 pm

I want to complete a set, like legions or something, of entirely crimped cards.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to which set would be the easiest to complete?  Does anyone know if this is feasible?
Input would be appreciated.

In playing for 8+ years I have only ever seen a couple crimped cards.  Most currently it was 7th Ed.  A crimped set is possibly but very difficult, especially for the uncommons towards the center of the pack having a lower chance of being crimped.

Hi.
I have seen Crimped Boosters from almost all Editions or Extensions.I believe the only way to succeed,is to buy a Booster Boxes made only of Crimped Boosters, but you have to be extremely Lucky ;)
Now,the probability of having a 100% Full set must be very low.If I have to choose an Extension,I will get the
Only 78 Cards Arabian Nights ::)

I'm getting alot of crimped cards from ebay and from MOTL.  I guess I thought they were more common than they are. :\
my newest additions are a llanowar bohemoth and a starstorm.  I'm gonna go to the local shop and buy the crimped goblin welder they have.  There is also a crimped beta word of command on ebay I may snag.

Also, has anyone seen a crimp far down on the card?  That is what I consider to be rarity, how far down the crimp is.  Plus, I guess those uncommons are gonna be pretty hard to get.

Crimped cards occur when a (normally only one) card in a booster shifts inside the wrapper, before the wrapper is sealed.  Then when the wrapper is crimped shut (the waffle look of a sealed pack), the card that shifted is crimped with the pack.  Giving the card a waffled look on the top or bottom edge.  This normally only happens to the first or last card in a pack (currently would be the Rare in the back or a common on the top, or a foil in the bottom position).

Well don't I fell special.  I have never heard, nor seen these cards ever, and I open a lot of boxes!  How uncanny is that?

yep, I've decided to be a crimple collector.  Think I'll make that my forte.  Please let me know if you guys have any to sell/trade.

I think I'll change my collection attempt to only collect the rares in a particular set.

O.O
wow
I dont have any foil crimps yet, that sounds great.  A foil crimp set, that would be so snazzy.
yeah, I'll trade for all crimps.
Just lemme know what you want for em.
Also, the beta timetwister, would he trade that for a real timetwister (UL and not the greatest condition, can scan for ya.  Front is NM, but back has a wierd line) and some other stuff?

I have a mildly crimped Spirit token, which is weird since they were not in boosters, and the little plastic wrappers they come in don't seem to be the crimped type.
