Re: New filler?
I think another key is to see if anyone can "make" one of these. I still say grab your chemicals & give it a try if you think you know what you are doing.

Re: New filler?
I'm pretty sure that I can see a blacker border to the card. I can only see it by tilting my monitor (a flat panel) to look at it. It's impossible to notice without tilting the monitor, but the computer is clearly displaying the border region as darker than the rest of the card. I can't make out anything similar to a card title, however.

Re: New filler?
reading this thread is kinda like watching people point out shapes in the clouds, heh.
anyway, i think inca911 would be able to provide the best answer as to whether or not this could be faked (he's done so before on a number of occasions)...

Re: New filler?
When I look at it right in front of me I see no signs of a border. But, the lage scan could be interpereted as several things.

Re: New filler?
I too see borders and I see them in every scan you have shown of the card. No letters though.

Perhaps it has a border, then black printed over it.

Re: New filler?
From here, it looks like a regular foil card with a layer of black paint/chemical thingy. Which would be why the star comes out purple.
Most 'black' pencils are in fact a very dark shade of purple or blue, so if you find a way to lighten the colour, you can see it.
So, I'd rather believe it to be either a missprint or a fake rather than a filler card. Interesting, though [smiley=ok.gif]

Re: New filler?
Enless I'm just wanting to see the border. I do beleive I see it. As can be proven by looking at foils from Scourge (specially black ones) old school foils show an odd arrayness to the border.
I dont think its like a the champion at all. In fact, i'de like a closer look at a regular complete black filler card to see if the border is at all noticable.

Re: New filler?
Well, given how I got it & the fact that I can actually hold it in my hand.... I say it's a filler. Always thought it was one, considered it one, & I beleive it to be legitimate.
The purple in the star, well, it is a refraction from the light in scanning. It changes colors & such like other foils when held at an angle.
I still challenge anyone to make a fake just like it... untill then, I say we are missing a filler on the site.

Re: New filler?
I wish to bring this topic back to attention, since it is an unsolved issue. Maybe somebody can help decide what type of card we are facing (test print versus filler card) or has another copy of the card proving that it is not unique.
