8th edition German Demogame packs for 2 players

Hi all,

Thanks to Jamesbond, I have an 8th Ed. Demoagme pack for 2 players that has been given to people at Worlds in Berlin.

At the moment, noone has confirmed existence of such a pack in other language than GERMAN.

What is interesting is that it is very different from other Demogame boosters.

It contains 22 cards as it said on the back (thanks Ralph for the translation ;))

"Dieses Vorführspiel enthält 22 Karten aus dem Sammlekartenspiel Magic: the Gathering(R) sowie eine Kurzanleitung die Schritt für Schritt durch das Spiel führt - alles, was swei Spieler benötigen, um die Grundlagen des Spiels zu erlernen."

Unfortunately, the text does not give away much. It says: This demogame contains 22 cards of the trading card game Magic the Gathering (R) plus a small manual which guides you through the game step by step - everything two players need to learn the basics of the game.

Ok, thanks Ralph and what "Vorführspiel" stands for? They seem to have preferred Vorführspiel to Demospiel

At worlds they used these boosters for demonstrating people who do not know MTG how the game is played.

unfortunatly i have not watched when they opened the booster for a demogame.
But the cards they played with seemed like the cards from the 7th demo booster. Some lands and commons.

But i also should get some of these, so if you want to let yours sealed i could tell you the cards (when the booster arrive).

I always buy Demo Boosters by 2,One Sealed and the other to check if there's any Alternate Text,or Pics,or
Special Cards(Tip,Rebate,etc..).Since,you will probably get your Boosters before me,that can be great,to tell exactely what's inside the Demo Booster.Thanks  :)

Hello !

I got one pack and opened it. It contains nothing special: Two eleven card mini decks (8th Edition cards):

"Deck 1" (red/black):

2x Hügelriese (Hill Giant)
1x Goblin-Plünderer (Goblin Raider)
2x Skrupelloser Dieb (Spineless Thug)
1x Seelenloser Zombie (Scathe Zombies)
3x Gebirge (Mountain)
2x Sumpf (Swamp)

"Deck 2" (green/white)

2x Gezähmtes Armoddon (Trained Armodon)
1x Grizzlybären (Grizzly Bears)
2x Ruhmsucher (Glory Seeker)
1x Eifriger Cadett (Eager Cadet)
3x Wald (Forest)
2x Ebene (Plains)

+ a rule sheet, explaining the game by the way of the given decks

So the only "special" card is maybe the "Eifriger Kadett"/Eager Cadet (S 1/7), usually only found in normal starter decks.

AG: Could you please specify which basic lands have been included? I would like to know the card numbers of each basic land, if possible.

Does somebody have opened an English 8th Edition Demogame booster in the meanwhile and can confirm that its contents are identical to the German one?
