Re: alpha rule book
I have some of the oldest mtg books (the ones you could get the pen symbol promos from) and most of them are really good. They're not 100% similar to this story, but I'd truly recommend reading them :Dthat is a neat story! Â do the mtg books read like that, as well?
Especially the trilogy consisting of "Whispering Woods", "Shattered Chains" and "Final Sacrifice", I truly LOVED reading those books.
Which reminds me, was 2 years since I read them, gotta read them sometime soon :D
Collecting Dragon Whelps! A/FBB/FWB/Summer/Alt4th/IE/TS/Test/Misprinted wanted!

Translation: She wanted to trade Glasses of Urza for a CoP: Red, the white guy says no, so she steals it from his binder while he's not looking. ;D (I probably wouldn't do that trade either...)Since then, Worzel had learned from a specialist in white magic that there were ways to protect herself from the raw forces Thomil loved. Unfortunately, the white magician had been unwilling to part with the knowledge in exchange for her offered artifact; she had been forced to coerce it out of him in other, more violent ways.
Re: alpha rule book
More like, the "specialist" wouldn't make the trade, so she dueled him and took it when she won (ante).

The story is also printed in the Pocket Player's Guide. As for the writing in the Magic novel series ... it ranges from decent fantasy to mediocre fan fiction, IMHO.
