Ravnica Artists and the Mystery of Chengo McFlingers
This set has some nice art in my opinion, but more importantly who the heck is Chengo McFlingers? check out this card:
http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/attachme ... ntid=11261
looks a lot like robert bliss's art, right? well, robert bliss returns to action as evidenced here:
http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/attachme ... 1228&stc=1
my favorite card? check out 'shadow of doubt':
http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/attachme ... 1227&stc=1
the art kind of harkens back to the days of Harold McNeill and i think it looks pretty sharp with the two colors bleeding into each other.

Hi Alexis,
On pseudonyms;
There are stories too tedious to tell, and too long to hear, where the punch line doesn't make any sense without the back story and the back story would take so long to tell you'd forget the joke. And even with the back story, the joke probably wouldn't be funny anyway.
To save you from being bored, I will let the question remain a mystery. It's much more interesting that way. However, I confirm that no extra money is involved.
Happy happy joy joy,
Heather Hudson

Pete Venters has solved part of the mystery of this piece. Not only is it indeed a Robert Bliss, it's 8 years old:

Yes, Chengo is Rob Bliss. The art is actually a very old piece that has been sitting in the graveyard since Mirage block. How do I know this? Because I remember it arriving during that cycle and the fuss it caused among the more PC marketing division of the time because of the exploding guts. Seems that WotC isn't as squeamish as it used to be. I assume the alias is because Rob didn't want to be asscoiated with a piece that was 8 years old. That last bit's just a guess.
