I have a couple of his Fire and Ice drawings.
Very sad day... I bet somebody (probably a lot of people) wish they bid higher on his piece in the Heritage Auction last Thursday

No, but he was one of the original artists of the modern fantasy genre. He influenced many of today's Magic artists.yvel wrote:that's a sad news.

He influenced all of modern fantasy art. He's like the Richard Garfield of fantasy art. He's right there with Tolkien as far as "fantasy" legends I'd say. He was the undisputed grandmaster fantasy artist for sure.
