Re: GP Nagoya
Oh wow, I had no idea 8-9 December! When are the artists signing? Saturday?kalimno wrote:Aleksi Briclot and Rebecca Guay will be attending GP Nagoya.
Anyone attending the event ? I could use help with some APs.
Thanks,
Ari
I am officially stating I'm tentatively saying I'm definitely going. I can't be 100% I'll be in Japan when the event goes down, so I'd hate for you to send the cards to me and I have a last-minute trip to somewhere. But if I am in Japan I'll be going!
I don't know how you can get the cards to me in time, though, as military mail is RUTHLESSLY slow.
So I'm saying I'll be happy to be your last resort!
Edit: And I look forward to getting some APs signed by Aleksi (Chandra's Phoenix and Worldheart Phoenix)! Does anyone have his email address? I'd like to ask him if he'll be bringing said APs with him.
Clay
Clay,
The artists usually sign on both days. Reaching Aleksi by e-mail is difficult. That is why I need help regarding APs.
But I met him several times at events. And he had his all proofs with him in binders. Unless they are sold out, you have a chance.
Rebecca Guay has also declined the possibility to do a transaction via e-mail. So, your help would be much appreciated.
With Aleksi, I go to the venue and get in queue as early as 8 a.m, although the artists arrive usually around 10. But when Aleksi arrives, the queues usually go huge. Probably 5-10 times that of let's say John Avon.
So it is better than waiting 3-4 hours , and learning that an AP is sold out. And I bet a 2 hour artist booth guard duty would be much easier for you than it is for me :)
I will try to get in touch with Aleksi, and if I am lucky, I will make sure he has some proofs for you too.
Best,
Ari

Hey Ari,
if you haven't found someone else to get the cards signed, let me know. I will get be getting a Japanese PO Box tomorrow, but can get you a friend's address if that doesn't happen so that you can get the cards you want signed to me as quickly as possible.
I'll be taking a stack of foil lands (from Graveborn), a BB Japanese Lorwyn Jace, a foil Korean Primeval Titan , and whatever else I can find for Aleksi to sign when I try to get the APs, so getting some stuff signed for you won't be an inconvenience :)

mmm, ok, so Nagoya was CRAZY! almost didn't make it in time to register for the event (which I eventually dropped from after a match record of Draw-Loss-Win-Loss).
I did pick up the APs for you Ari, but I was unable to get the cards signed for you. The line was a 4 hour wait to get 8 cards signed.
I did get my 2 APs signed, and will post pics of those soon.
