Something Pretty Cool and Unique!
Figure something like this deserved it's own thread based on coolness factor alone! Piece was the "Artist Jam" from 1994 Chicago ComicCon and just arrived and will be on my gameroom wall shortly, as soon as I replace the UV glass on the frame FedEx busted. >:-(
Looks like a total of eight artists contributed to the work which measures 42 inches high by just under 8 feet wide when placed side by side!
Artists were:
Nicola Leonard
Brian Snoddy
Nene' Thomas
Pete Venters
Ken Meyer Jr
Kaja Foglio
Mark Poole
Mark Tedin
Without further ado!
And the complete mosaic!
apologies for the fuzzy Iphone pics, I'll get some nice ones once they are on the wall!

It went from the seller to a box, to a FedEX truck, to a FedEX Plane, back into a FedEX truck and then to me! Seller claimed to have purchased them years ago and mentioned Chicago ComicCon but I did not delve deeply into a backstory.dry cereal wrote:what journey did it take?
I had purchased a couple pieces of original Alpha paintings from the seller via Ebay and we conversed via phone after I paid for them. He mentioned he had these pieces and was interested in selling and I thought they sounded pretty cool. Once he sent me images of the 3 side by side, I knew I had to have them for my game room!dry cereal wrote:how did you end up with that?

You would have to like to play the classic arcade games Asteroids & Defender, ST:TNG Pinball, shoot pool or drink beer from the Kegerator!dry cereal wrote:I think you should invite me to a party at your gameroom.
If you ever find yourself in the Seattle area and want to make a short trek about half an hour north, then drop me a PM and I can make that invite happen!

Ya, ever since Williams stopped making them a few years ago, modern age Pin's have skyrocketed in price/value. I bought mine in a friends divorce sale a few years ago for $1100 and it's an easy sale today for $4k.
Trying to figure out what to put in the open area I created with some shuffling and cannot decide between DK, Tempest or a Robotron. Only have room for 1 more cabinet and might just ask my repair guy up here to find or make me a MAME machine
