New Ban/Restrict list

Post by AzureWinter » Fri Jun 01, 2007 7:03 am

Vintage
Gifts Ungiven is restricted
Voltaic Key is unrestricted
Black Vise is unrestricted
Mind Twist is unrestricted
Gush is unrestricted

Legacy
Flash is banned
Mind Over Matter is unbanned
Replenish is unbanned

So what do people who play Type 1 or Legacy think about this new list.
I find unrestricting Gush seems pretty nice and weird on Black Vise/Mind Twist. I can see how Gifts Ungiven is restricted.
Too bad on Flash been banned in Legacy when it wasn't the dominating deck at GP Columbus.

I can recall Sligh-Burn decks being rather strong back in the old days with 4 Black Vises in them, and do consider it a bit odd unrestricting it now.

I mean, a rather plausible starting hand with 1 Mox, land, Sol Ring (or Black Lotus or Another Mox), 2 Black Vises and any good Goblin or Jackal Pup etc. seems rather nasty for the opponent unless he has FoW... :-\

The opponent can just untap and win.
