Sooo I was curious and decided to message the seller and got a pretty quick response: Hi -- I've been selling Magic the Gathering for 10 years. My reputation is important to me. These cards were pulled directly from Khans of Tarkir booster packs and placed in soft sleeves, exactly as I described. I ...

I saw this one today too. The odd thing is that based on feedback they seem like a somewhat reputable seller. Those are definitely acetoned... >:-(

In re-reading your post it dawns on me that in reality these cards have become just that--a game mechanic. At the very least, a card with a duel role. As i said, the reaction here was quite indifferent as to the value of the card being a "promo". I am looking forward to how they price out on the we...

Digital medium is faster, more flexible, and more secure (as long as you're smart about it at least)...

The number of promos was definitely a gameplay based decision. WOTC clearly wanted players to select their box colors based on the colors and not the power level of the promo. And in that regard I do like their decision. On the other hand, I think they were too attached to the idea of being able to ...

It had been unsold at 800$ forever on Mark's site. The piece is small and not much detailed, so that seems really high for me, but if you really like it... Hence the query here. I don't know how large the piece is, and it's not exactly a highly sought out card or anything. In all honesty I was expe...

Polar Kraken Original Art

So I've decided to attempt to purchase (long term goal, still need to save up a bit) Mark Tedin's original art for Polar Kraken. I've never bought an original MTG before and figured a few of you could share some insights. I've managed to locate the owner (friend of a friend of a local shop owner) an...

I picked this up at Baltimore Comic Con today. It's an original panel from a lovely comic book known as The Goon:
