Re: Help me restore this Mox Ruby !

I would try to wipe off any grit or dirt with a damp tissue or finger but leave the writing.  Since the writing is on the card type line it seems that there's too much of a risk of damaging the coloring on this part of the card.  An eraser is likely to take off too much in my opinion.

Re: Opinions on MOTL

I like seeing the Magic Rarities contingency show up in the "Trade and Value Questions" section of the forum.  It's nice to see many regulars help out with prices for odd-ball items that are well known here.

I go by psrex on MOTL as well.

Re: PSA Mishap

I haven't seen this happen before, but it seems like PSA must have screwed up.  If you trying to scam someone and you somehow replaced the encased card I would hope that you would have the brainpower to figure out that you should put in the actual card that is named.  It must have been a b...

Re: Amazing find !

Back on Topic: don't you people think this card is cool  ??? I had guessed it'd raise more enthusiasm. I can assure you the scan is authentic and the .jpg has not been tampered with.
I think that it's darn cool.  An albino that's so seriously miscut is a great find.

Re: 3D card #2

Very nice.  You've gotten quite good and making 3D cards.  The Beebles were a good choice.

Re: What non-magic ccgs are you into?

I used to play On The Edge, Decipher's Star Wars, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.  The only one that I have many cards from is On the Edge, which really does have very good game play -- it's just not very well known.  On The Edge came out really close to the time of Magic and had some...

Re: My first attempt at a 3D card

I do have spacers between each later. My spacers are just a card with the art cut out. I don't know what other people used. Here's the thread with mintcollector's Dakmor Sorceress: http://www.magiclibrary.net/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=off-topic;action=display;num=1100897498;start=0#0 The spacers u...

Re: My first attempt at a 3D card

I think you did a fine job for a first attempt.  I'd recommend using more cards to create depth and a bigger wow factor.   ;D Don't some of the other 3D card makers use black spacers a couple mm thick to add more depth?  I would think that spacers would help add depth to the card wit...

I know that I didn't post for several months after joining because I wanted to get a better feeling for the community and make sure that my posts were in line with what was generally accepted.  I'm sure there are others in a similar position.

Re: I'm a squirrel!

My first impression was that the ISOE was a squirrel. Maybe its a rat, who knows. But RS never corrected me either way...
I don't think that ISOE is a rat, as rats don't have furry tails.  It's got to be a squirrel.  Squirrels are much cuter anyway (my favorite are red squirrels).

Re: I'm a squirrel!

AP prices vary by artist.  Ron Spencer is simply more expensive than many other artists.

For the quality of the work I think fvzappa got a tremendous deal.  There is very, very little worthwhile original (as in non-reproduction) art that can be had for $50.

Re: My wife delivered on 1/16/05

I keep my kids on a tight leash.  I am sure that any kid staring down the grinning maw of an angry dad with a club embossed with a "Punisher" skull, would think twice about being hap-hazard with magic cards. [smiley=veryangry.gif] [smiley=veryangry.gif] [smiley=veryangry.gif] [smiley=veryangry...

Re: Ice Age on double card stock?

trust me, my puffer isn't a fake. it passes the bend test with absolutely no problem......can color printers do that? It seems quite possible for an extra-thick card to exist.  Given all of the types of misprints that have surfaced I don't see any reason why there couldn't be Magic cards print...
