Wow Tim, That was quite a price and lots of folks throwing out bids for that piece. I never saw the listing but doubt I would have chased it to those levels. I could have sworn the last piece of Alpha art to sell as an auction was about 2 years ago for around $2500 and folks were amazed at that time...

Selling a few Arqabian miscuts
Found a few miscut Arabian cards in a recent collection purchase and put them up for sale "you know where". While the listings are set up for only US members, I'll gladly ship to Rarities Forum users. Just send me a request on Ebay to have me add your user name to my approved bidder list and I'll ta...

And then we get to consistency........ Let me tell you about the travels of a Mint Word of Command I once owned. I bought a BGS 9 copy from ABU thinking of swapping it to a PSA 9 holder for my #2 set. BGS cert number of the card was 6521759 and the card had subgrades of 8.5 centering, 9.0 corners, 9...

And other than centering which can be measured, you get into the realm of "subjectivity" by individual graders. Think of subjectivity like this: Grader "A" who just got a promotion and is going out after work for dinner with his wife followed by a night of sex is likely going to give you better grad...

Most PSA 9's won't cross-grade to BGS 9. I have PSA 10's that won't cross to BGS 9.5's. PSA 10's are nice and all but PSA doesn't take into consideration centering when grading. This is why BGS is the new standard for MTG grading. Brian, I have several BGS graded cards that did not make an equal cr...

Also looking for a small list of NM/M signed Alpha cards to help a good friend complete his set. Forgot to list them in the original post. I do have a decent list of over 160 signed Alpha cards in my collection I can trade, including several duals and NM/M cards, if someone has a specific want and h...

interesting that Birds is one of the toughest cards in both Alpha and Beta Almost all are off center and it was one of the most played cards back in the day. Many of the off center cards all came from the left edge of the Rare sheet including Birds, Stasis, Forcefield, Sedge Troll, Chaos Orb, Magic...

Alpha cards, I want more! :-D Specifically looking for the following PSA graded cards in 9 or better to complete my #2 set in mint or better condition. I'd also consider PSA 10 cards to upgrade 9's if you want some of my bigger items in trade. Birds of Paradise Chaos Orb Copy Artifact Dark Ritual Fo...

Len, I knew you were cool but I never guessed you were this much on the ball....... Gary Well there is your problem Gary! You actually want to have your hand behind the ball instead of on the ball at release. Doing that enables you to impart more rotation at the time of release which greatly improv...

Just had this delivered to me last night. Started bowling again after 3 years off due to a bum elbow that required surgery. This makes Perfect Game #14! http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8123/8656364335_3142e8b600_z.jpg Now it can join the rest of them in the box in my closet :) The front row are all th...
