Re: Chinese 4th edition BB Shanodin Dryads

I've created a visual spoiler for English 4th. I thought you might be able to use it when going through your Chinese/Korean 4th and note any missing cards. http://www.geocities.com/motorcitymagic/rarities/4e.html (hope you have a fast connection :)) I fixed Will-O'-the-Wisp (thanks Matt). Not sure w...

Re: Chinese 4th edition BB Shanodin Dryads

Gryf, I'd be really interested to know what else is missing if you were to go through and check everything. There are definitely more cards that would be considered "objectionable". I bet they just pulled the cards from 4th because there was no time to get new art. Here are a few to spot check: Abom...

Re: Chinese 4th edition BB Shanodin Dryads

Possible the art was too suggestive for the Chinese? It seems that 1995  would be well before they created alternate ("cleaner") art for them.

Re: Uncut Vanguard (Series 2) sheet

I've got an uncut Vanguard 1 sheet that was a prize given to the winning store in a UK National promotion (in early 99, for most active players and formal competitions).  It is a 7 x 7 sheet (like the Vanguard 2 sheet) but has all 49 slots printed with cards.   Four of the cards got 7 prints, one...

Uncut Vanguard (Series 2) sheet

I've not been able to find any other reference to an uncut Vanguard sheet in existence other than this, nor any information about how this one came into circulation, so I thought it was time to finally let the rest of the members know about it. See for yourself: http://www.geocities.com/motorcitymag...

Re: Box inserts - trying to compile list

Those little slips are the warehouse resupply number for reference for the store to order more product. Definitely not the case for older boxes. Each number is unique to a box. We just opened a ton of older sets (Italian Legends mostly) and each slip had a different number. This is more a tracking ...

Re: Stupid Starter Deck Question

1) When did starters go from 2 to 3 rares and 2) When did starter boxes go from 10 to 12 starters? 1) In the last part of the Revised print run 2) Mirage (Oct. 96) and later sets English 4th Ed. had 3 rares per starter, and 10 decks per box. Likely that the asian releases did too. I just love the C...

Re: What is this??(DRY-CEREAL, WATCH THIS!!)

I'd watch out for that one. The cut edge doesn't look straight and the crimped part doesn't look "right".

This card could easily be faked, so don't spend too much on it, especially if you can't get the seller to send a closer scan.

Re: Magic: Exact Rarities

I ordered a Beta Starter and got an Alpha Rare. What happened? When Wizards of the Coast, the makers of Magic, switched production from Alpha to Beta, they had some Alpha rares left over. These rares were mixed into the Beta print run and inserted into some of the Beta Starters. Because they did th...

To keep this thread on topic, please follow up any discussion about the ante cards missing from Portuguese sets in this thread: http://www.magiclibrary.net/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=news;action=display;num=1074337632 Since the Creature/Criatura line is the same in Portuguese and Spanish, is there a...

Re: Magic: Exact Rarities

Note: There are only 4 "Rare Islands" on the Beta and UL rare sheets and 5 "Rare Islands" on the Alpha sheet (due to the absence of Volcanic Island in the set).  So adjust your calculations accordingly. Also, there are 46 lands on the common sheet in Beta, and 47 on the Alpha common sheet (due to ...

Welcome, Mr. C.

I think you'll find there are many questions on the site and forum about Portugese cards which you may be able to help us with.
