Hi, yes Brian, myself, and another forum member Bradley (I think he is bradleyxace or something on here) bought these from a WOTC employee who no longer works there. He said these were press checks. I've been told the Chris Rush cards with identical fronts are artist proofs. I cannot confirm this b...

The work on the realease of Unlimited was not much more than a phone call. Arabian Nights was in the planning stages early on (as a different game). I found this quote in the thread about black and white sheets produced while working on the design of Revised. http://www.magiclibrarities.net/forum/v...

It may not be relevant at this point, but I've confirmed that the card layout of German Black Border sheets is identical to English Revised.

Alpha rule book in this auction

If anyone is looking for an Alpha rulebook, there is one in this auction. I've spoken with the seller to identify it as Alpha. (lower page count & contains Worzel's story) I know they can be difficult to find. The cards with it look pretty nice also. http://www.ebay.com/itm/131058589954?ssPageName=S...

thanks mmgun! Yes, those two cards have different textboxes which confirms that a different version of Manabarbs exists in each set. Magnification & Measuring confirm that the one on the Left is 4th and the one on the Right is 3rd. Also note: The text box on the 4th edition manabarbs is different fr...

English 4th = Small 1995 date German white border 3rd --> Llanowar Elves has the flavour text that was introduced in English 4th Edition. The textbox is similar dark as English 4th. (see below) http://www.kwicpix.de/uploads/2013/11/thumb/i21726b440rl.jpg I need to look into this a little more. It r...

Thanks Alexis! I guess my previous sources must have been using the copyright date to place German Limited in 1994. With French Limited & German Limited both being released in March of 1995, I'm going to list French first because of the French copyright on the German Islands. Also, we are making som...

I'm not sure why the entire card doesn't show on the screen, but if you click on either of the images then you can see the whole card. One of the cards has a pretty big white mark at the beginning of the illustration line.

- French wb designed 1994 (indicates: BB First released - first sold out, even in 1994) There are more indirect signs that the German translator had French cards to work from, at least with German Unlimited: Stone Rain is worded: "Zerstört ein Gelände" instead of "Zerstört ein Land." What does "Gel...

Couldn't it simply be the case that the 1995 copyright on French Unlimited is a misprint like at least German and Japanese Tainted lands from Nemesis? They have 2003 instead of 2002. Actually, while researching a related topic, I think I've discovered why some of the cards in French Unlimited have ...

You don't see the blue layer because the blue layer IS the glue.

The blue glue is missing is why the front and back are coming apart.
