Assessing its value is out of my pay range anyways, so can't help with that.

If I had the money, however, the question whether it's a Pokemon card with a Magic back or a Magic card with a Pokemon face would make ALL the difference to me.

I'm tempted to believe it's another way of testing the market. In a first step, they did it for MM and cards didn't lose value. Now they launch P9 for MODO. Third step will be, "hey, it works," and we see them reprinting Legacy staples.

I don't think Promos is appropriate. Neither do I. I feel promo cards should be reserved for cards everyone can be the first or initial recipient of; well, in principle, conditional upon one's willingness to play in a certain event or to travel. Not everyone, however, can be the first or initial re...

Sorry, been busy with my life outside Magic ... Your focus on lands is admirable because it shows, IMHO, true collector qualities. Nice of you to say this, appreciated. Are you doing lands in all languages or specific ones? As I tried to clarify earlier, I shifted away from all lands/all editions to...

I feel collecting is a multifaceted activity and aiming at complete sets of X is just one among many other options. So, to answer yvel's question, I'm not interested in getting complete sets. I just happen to have many from events I worked and like them as souvenirs and use them to "pimp" my deck wh...

Stamped Product

Sorting away cards to make room for Theros, I was wondering whether anyone on this forum cares about stamped product from professional drafts?

I try to keep a play set of each card with different stamps but would be happy to trade the rest with someone who happens to be interested in it.

Thx for your welccome, GlobalBoosterHunter! Initially I collected all editions of all land cards. While I made quite some progress, I decided earlier this year just to limit it to the first edition of all art work. Things just exploded and it was no longer attractive to look at it: maybe complete, y...

Hi everyone, I figured I'd stop by here and introduce myself real quick. I'm Bernd, living in Fort Wayne, IN, for about seven years now. Before that we lived in Germany. Our boys needed a TO to run events, so I became a TO, then a judge, then a player (a little), then a collector (somewhat, I love l...
