Re: new information about Proposal

So where did you get your card? I know for sure (coming from Richard) that only two people had copies one was Richard and one was Quinton, till he got his stolen at a show. Are you the one that stole it? I have seen the original art so your discription sounds too close to the fake one that is on th...

Re: Uncut Vanguard sheet

This is, according to my knowledge the second time a Vanguard sheet is auctionned on eBay. MCM won the first one (for a low amount). And yes, we already noticed this nice Filler card on the bottom ;D To answer Peter's question, yes, I think they are quite rare, though some have been distributed as t...

Re: The sniping topic

I can't understand how restricting bidding will help any seller.  Making last minute bidding easier for people who have already bid, and who look way ahead in auctions (my guess, a small eBay minority) won't be worth nearly as much as allowing everyone, including those of us who are last minute vi...

Re: The sniping topic

Then please, clarify what you are saying!  Yes, in a brick-and-mortar auction, a losing bidder has an opportunity to bid again.  How would you have eBay work it?
Ok, I give up.

Re: The sniping topic

Well, in a 'brick and mortar' auction, all interested parties are present at the same time.  The auction ends when a short period of time elapses, and no one has bid.  The equivalent on ebay would be like this:  someone places a bid, and everyone else has 10 minutes to place a responding bid, or...

Re: The sniping topic

I don't see how.  My only point was that limiting bidding in the last ten minutes only means that some bids that would have been placed in the last ten minutes aren't placed at all. Celebrindor said that he has gotten some good deals on products by bidding in the last ten minutes.  I highly doubt...

Re: The sniping topic

Agreed, limiting bidding in the last X minutes would only decrease final prices for auction items.  Sellers makes less profit, eBay makes less profit.  There's really no incentive for the company.  Quite seriously, snipers are good for business. That seems to me the exact contrary of what Celebr...

Re: The confession topic

I usually don't snipe because I'm too lazy to do so ... However, it does not require many skills to understand that you get the best deals when you snipe. People who have a huge amount of free time have an advantage towards others and, honestly, I believe eBay looses money with sniping. Had I sniped...
