Re: Urban legend all rare booster
I've seen Revised boosters with 3 rares per pack. I also remember something weird with Legends packs having too many rares, but I don't remember what it was. I don't have any sealed anymore, but both were sold in the Rochester area, and I remember everyone stampeding to the stores to buy them ...

Re: Commons and Uncommons
I keep a decent stock of common/uncommons, but I've also been known to cut them up and make things out of them.

Re: This sucks...
It's not like this is the first time they've increased prices. I believe the original price of a booster pack 10 years ago was $2.45, and a starter was $7.99. That's just how inflation works. It sucks indeed. But I also haven't bought a pack from a store in a long long time. I buy boxes online, or I...

I used to know this, because I remember it happening, but it's gone now. I think they switched to 6 at Mirage.

Re: Do any of us have real jobs?
But I live in a cheap apartment, am single, & can afford the cards I want by buying in bulk. I'll buy out huge collections, skim off the top, & sell off in pieces to break even. It's the only way I know how! This is what I do too. It's the only way I can justify spending so much money on this stuff.

Re: Do any of us have real jobs?
I'm a computer programmer for IBM. I work in research and development designing and writing prototype software. Basically IBM pays me to sit around and try to make computers do new things :D This gives me a modest amount of money to dump on things like magic, but I also waste it on a lot of ot...

Re: Insuring your collection? Any suggestion
Instead of a CD everything, how about a picture on all my mint power 9? That way many people can see it. I was considering a public gallery like this, where people could post pictures of the best parts of their collection. In addition to being fun to drool over, it's actually really practical...

Re: Original M:TG artwork
Last couple times I had things framed the framer asked me if I wanted UV glass or not. I did get it. The point being, a good framer should inform you of all your options.

Re: How about this misprint,
My impression of these is that too many of them are showing up on ebay these days to be legit. I'm considering starting a dutch auction of 500 of them for $1 a piece just to kill the hype :P
This is rediculous and I hate seeing people waste their money on garbage

Re: Most prized M:TG item
I like this one!Mine would have to be a rejection letter for a job at WOTC signed by Peter Adkinson.
I'm such a loser.
I wish I had one of those.

Re: Most prized M:TG item
Yes if I can actually own the issue myself that would be a lot better than having a scan.

Re: Original M:TG artwork
I assume, you mean any art that we own and are willing to sell? I have the original sketch for Puffer Fish by Heather Hudson, this is not the finished art, but a b/w pencil sketch identical to the art. I wasn't planning on selling it though.

I0qii: This advertisement was printed in color in an old issue of the The Duelist magazine.
I'd love to have a good scan of that, along with the issue and page number it apeared on. I'm sure both versions were printed around the same time?

Re: Most prized M:TG item
Mine is either this ad which is worthless, but I love it, and it's extremely rare. or my first deck, which I still have, which is a goblin deck, all black bordered, no cards newer than FE, no sleeves, and I still keep it in an old beta starter box. I like it because it's already beat up, so I don't ...
