Re: disturbing discovery of new Magic fake cards

I've been buying lots of cheap chinese product lately, and I've been worried that they're fakes ($40 a box?), but I can't tell - they pass the bend test, there are foils that look normal, and there isn't any real difference...anyone else seen Chinese fakes of sets like Legions? Were there foils in t...

Re: Harry Potter missprint on back of every card.4

i only know that from hearsay, there are no write ups anywhere about actual facts that ive been able to find. but i was told from someone that deals with only raritiy and misprinted cards that he actually made a bid on the red goblin deck a while back but someone out bid him and they sold for 13...

Re: The S-Chinese fifth dawn Misprints...

Hey guys,

The new Magic errata for judges lists the Japanese Mycosyth Golem as missing the word 'artifact' in the card type line, but doesn't say anything about the masticore.

Re: Huge misprint in portuguese Darksteel!

Mr C - Are these pretty common?  I'd love to trade for one.  I'd e-mail you directly but your email is hidden!  I sent you a PM. On a side note, for a long time I had on my misprint web site that the spanish glacial chasm was printed without the upkeep cost.  It wasn't until I go...

Re: More HP backed cards?

The owner of this alleged HP backed deck has informed me that he's going to put the deck up on e-bay.  I tried to convince him to let me sell individual cards to the forum folks, but it was to no avail. I asked him to let me know when the auction starts.  If he does, i'll let you guys know...

Re: More HP backed cards?

I've been emailing with him.  He says it was the first magic product he ever got, and he has had it for months.  He's played with it, too  :-/.

Re: More HP backed cards?

This kid wrote me privately through my misprint website saying basically the same thing he said in his post.  I would be highly skeptical of its authenticity, but he isn't asking for cash outright, and it's certainly possible he has one... If the authenticity can be proven, I'd love to see the deck...

Re: general interest in new Magic sets

yep, I'm surprised hasbro hasn't killed it.  I wonder if cards would have any value if MTG died.   :-/ Hey Cereal- You mean Magic?  Are you kidding?  It's still a huge money maker.  $3.69 for 15 pieces of paper?  $$$ And if past CCGs' failure is any indication, the value of ca...

Re: general interest in new Magic sets

I do all of those things...pre-releases are the only sanctioned tournaments I go to. But as a collector, I know that the cards will never really have any value after they rotate out of T2, and because of the new card format the odds of them misprinting a card in any language is very low. I'll have f...

Re: New official article about magic counterfeits

At the time, I wasn't able to afford Elder Dragons, but I remember a lot of people being really pissed.  Same goes for when 4th came out (within months of each other, if I recall correctly) - people quit magic.  Their Carrion Ants were worthless.  Duals started to become valuable. I t...

Re: New official article about magic counterfeits

Hey Loquii- I agree that they've really botched stuff up in the past (chronicles, anyone?), but it seems like they've gotten better.  Is there something they've done recently that has honked you off?  I feel pretty safe about collecting old cards at this point...i think WOTC knows that an ...

Re: question 2: planeshift alt art print runs?

I could swear that at the time it was said they were a much lower ratio to regulars - maybe 1:20?  I'd love to see what WOTC has to say about this, but I never even saw one opened, and I've seen a lot of packs opened...

Re: question 2: planeshift alt art print runs?

So in europe, were those 3 AA rares "ULTRA" Rare, or the same rarity as the other foil rares?
