Re: Do any of us have real jobs?

I am a property accountant for the largest retail property management REIT in Canada, and with joint venture partnerships with the largest REIT in the US. We use JDEdwards as our accounting software, and when we submit jobs, everything is done in a FIFO fashion, so if I am sitting around waiting for...

Re: Insuring your collection?  Any suggestions?

I have actually been thinking of getting my cards insured also.  I did this once before with comics. As for now, I am waiting until I move into a new condo being built, and once there, I will be looking into it more seriously. The only downside I have found with insurance so far, is that if eve...

Re: Most prized M:TG item

I remember discussions about the Charlie Brown cards at some point in the past.  Not sure if that was on MTGNews, or back on Bob's discussion forum.
It was an interesting discussion, if memory serves me.

Re: Most prized M:TG item

Albino cards missed the coloring stage of printing, so the card is black and white.
Are these related to the yellow IA cards?  I have a yellow Goblin Mutant that I used to play with all the time.  I had heard of other yellow cards, but never saw them.

Re: ebay user names

you have Silver Paladin on your credit cards? At the moment, I am waiting to receive one CC that states my name as Silver Paladin, but all my login names for my CCs are Silver Paladin. And in the old days when computers only allowed 10 letters for a name, I was known as AgPaladin, for obvious reaso...

Re: ebay user names

Funny you should mention perpetual names.  I have been Gryfalia since high school (back in 1987).  Have used the name on IRC, AD&D, Magic, Everquest, College, Auctions in the old Usenet days, Nethack, heck, even my license plate is Gryf 99. If you see a Gryfalia, it's me, for better or worse. Gry...

Re: How big of a threat?

The color looks right, but I'd like to see a larger or higher dpi scan. Unless the scan (of all the cards) is of low/poor quality, I would say that the coloring is too dark, at least in regards to the Goblin token. Taking another look at the tokens on Ebay today, I notice Nexus Entertainment also h...

Re: How big of a threat?

Hi Members. I strongly recommend not to bet on these Minagishi Tokens, they looked pretty faked to me,just having a look at the scans.I may be wrong but I really don't think so  ;) http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3148349852&category=19115 I was looking at the tokens by this seller...

Re: How big of a threat?

sorry bout triple posting. here is the link for the ebay fraud form http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/fpp.html?ssPageName=STRK:SRVC:030 I have left my feedback. Fraud form is useless in this circumstance.  First, have to wait until at least 30 days after auction, and secondly, auction winni...

Re: How big of a threat?

I did send the seller the link to this site and he said they look just like his tokens.  (Translation:  They look just like my fake tokens only not as washed out and blurry.) HAHA, good translation.  I just received a message back from the seller saying he would only refund my money once I h...

Re: How big of a threat?

I still haven't heard crap and I sent my email first.  Woe is the life of a bigfatkitty! lol  Are you sure you sent your email first?  I had already sent my email when you left a post stating that your cards were still at the post office waiting to be picked up   :D Or, maybe the seller does no...

Re: How big of a threat?

I have heard back from the seller of this auction, and this is what he had to say: "Hello, I buy from a japanese trader in bulk. But i sell to a germany guy,at first he also suspect is it fake. but when he received it he was very happy about it and bought another 4 more from me. he is also a token c...

Re: How big of a threat?

Went to the post office and picked up the 5 Goblin and 5 Zombie cards.  Here are my thoughts: What's worse?  Paying for fake cards or paying for fake cards and getting one of them with a bend through the middle?   >:( In comparing these with the images on this site, the colors are washed out and...

Re: How big of a threat?

Hi Sliver. I can compare with mine with no problems but maybe it will be easier to ask to Some Magic Rarities Members living in the US and Having the Real One  ;) If no one offers his help ,I will be happy to receive the Card for Close comparison. If indeed these cards are fakes  (still givin...
