It is even worse than that. If you read the text of the auction it says that the card is actually a basic land that was made into a proxy... only their printer ran out of ink.

So it's a failed attempt at a proxy of a $3 card and it sells for $27.

Has anyone tried looking at some of these (or other high grade) counterfeits under a microscope and comparing them to authentic cards?
