Re: lost in limbo
Yeah, actually the Gaea's Touch is what made me think of it. I was sifting through a pile of Dark cards and found a bunch of those. It got me thinking. I wonder how many newer collectors don't even realise these exist? I have both versions in my sets, because I always though of them as the same as t...

very classical cases of misprints
Has anyone ever compiled a list of cards that have multiple printing variations, but aren't rare, or misprintes, or anything? For example, Runesword with the "hairy" and "non-hairy" versions, or Desert, which actually has 2 nearly identical pieces or artwork. The only difference being a white dot ab...

Re: Errors during mirrodin printing, packing.
He has opened a few Mirrodin booster packs, Portuguese language. Each time the second uncommon of the pack was in English!! Weird isn't it ? Is this because standard english sheets were accidentally mixed in with the portuguese, or that some portuguese sheete were accidentally printed in english? C...

Re: How do i know the difference..
It must be somewhat hard to find since it costs more than it's bb counterpart, but it's not so much that I would consider it ultra rare. I think it's only rare through neglect. Usually everyone focuses on the bb and ignores when wb comes around.

Re: How do i know the difference..
Does someone have a Japanese 4th Edition set or at least the possibility to access images of its cards? It is still an unsolved question whether Japanese Rivals cards are different from plain white-bordered Japanese 4th Edition cards. I've only ever seen black bordered japanese 4th edition, which I...

Re: Arena promo and German/French misprint test pr
I think this confusion came because there was a flood of uncut sheets of these sent to stores "recently" and some people who recived them, tried to cut them and sell the individual cards, and did a really bad job. seriously, I've seen some of these that look like they were cut by a 5 year old.

Re: Collector's Edition
I'd be happy with a shop that had NORMAL priced cards. Being so close to NYC everything around here is jacked up really high. I have to drive out of town to get reasonble prices on singes and old packs, or get them online, which i swhat I usually do.

Re: How big of a threat?
Thanks everyone :)
I can add a section on fake tokens, but I'd need good scans of both a fake one and real one in very high detail. Can someone provide this? ANd I'd also need to know whether real token pass all the same tests that regular magic cards do. I don't have any myself.

Re: How big of a threat?
FYI: For any that don't know, I maintain a websight on how to identify fake magic cards. http://www.apathyhouse.com/mtg/fake/index.php I have examples of many different kinds of fakes that I've collected over the years, and I plan on doing a major update to this site soon. With better scans and new ...

Re: Where members are living.
dry_cereal: I would if I had any crimped cards. I haven't had any for years though. rick21n: There's a store in Burlington called Quarterstaff that's been around for ages, and used to have a nice selection of Betas, but you had to know to ask for them. The prices were a little high though. I'm curi...

Re: Where members are living.
I tend to move around alot, but stay mostly in the north-east US. Currently, I'm in a small town in Connecticut, about an hour north of NYC.
